My doe had triplets 5 days ago. On the 3rd day I pulled the runt doe fawn and the medium sized buck fawn. I kept the biggest/strongest acting buck fawn on mom. The 2 I pulled are eating great and very strong! The one I left on mom seems to be VERY lethargic and unbalanced when standing. I have seen him nursing and mom seems to be taking good care of him on and off all day long. He seems to lay in the same spot in the pen all the time. In fact I can walk right up to him and pick him up, he just lays there. Am I being over worried or is this the start of a problem? I gave him 3 or 4 CC of Head Gear fawn paste an hour ago to see if that helped. Anything I can give him to help kickstart him or something to safegaurd against something potentially much worse?

Chris do you know what his poo looks like?? Is it pellets........it definitely sounds like there is something going on.....my fawns at 5 days are zipping away from you if you go to pet them.....you may get a quick pet and then they are up and gone..........

If you can put your hands on him,I would give him some fawn energy pack from C&E. It has always been a huge help for us on fawns acting exactly as you describe. You can give it as a drench with a syringe.
