I would say that in the Northwest Missouri area in a 60 mile radius of me I would say 600+ animals were lost and that may be a little low.

Is that 600 farmed deer Wayne? What have you seen in the wild and your hunting season this year?

Yes Farmed deer and our area for the most part reported Very few adult deer LOTS of fawns and young bucks chasing young does!

I lost a total of 8 adult deer................But my fawns are what got hit the hardest

I believe I lost the least of anyone in my area

I talked to a buddy in central Missouri and he said you can smell the dead wild deer anywhere you drive around his house....

Central Florida we lost one young buck and one 18 month that pulled through it still not totally over it but getting better every day, also heard we lost a lot of free range in our area.

I also wanted to let everyone know we had our young buck we lost to EHD in October tested, came back with a new EHD strand 6. That makes 6 differant strands of EHD now.

Actually, there are close to 20 strains of EHD. EHD 6 was also found in Louisiana this year.

I lost 33 from EHD. three does survived. all my shooters and breeders died. We saved a dozen fawns by keeping them locked in a garage. Decided not to even breed this year. found a dozen wild ones dead also. We saw a decent ammount of deer during gun season but not a single respectable shooter. I would say we lost in he 60-80 percent range locally.

We lost 9 at our farm in Western Ky including a 315", 278, several 180 - 220 and a super doe. Hopefully a vaccine/cure is found soon.

We lost 37 here in central Illinois. First time for us. Didn,t seem to matter whether we vaccinated or not. Rick
