Liver Flukes

Has anyone had to or is dealing with Liver Flukes, or taken preventative measures? I am wondering what the symptoms are for them and how to treat them if you think the deer might be infested with them? Or do you take measures like you do for worms and just treat on a regular basis.

Ivomec ''Plus'' can be used against liver flukes. I've always just used Ivomec Plus, and 'to my knowledge', I've never had deer with liverflukes. But with that being said, I don't know what liver fluke symptoms would look like be either Tail White.

I had a buck with liver flukes two years ago, and it was like he was going to cough a lung up .He was steady at it , gave him 5cc of Ivomec plus the day not one cough

Liver flukes are more prevalent in wet areas - if you have a swampy or wet area In your pens. Ivomec plus will work but valbaizin (not sure on the spelling) is the best treatment.

6cc Ivormectin + in adult deer and it will cure liver flukes!
