Marquis Antiprotozoal Oral Paste ANYONE KNOW DOSAGE?

Hello, getting ready to treat my 1 year old buck who has coccodosis. Went through corid drench, sulmet and now at wits end and going to try Marquis!

Already have it but wanted to see if anyone truly knows how you should dosage it out? The "directions" on the tube :

Give 2 grams by mouth twice daily for 28 days!

You have go to be kidding???



After treating him with the corid and the sulmet i had a fecal sample again and it showed the same. He's thin eating like crazy, eats everyhting you put in front of him, his main diet is a grain mixture, grasses that grow in his pen tree leaves etc. His poop starts to define pellets in more of a glob then it goes back to a very wet cow type of poop...EVERYTIME! He seems to alsmost get well then baamm...everytime. I have also been giving him probios from TSC "he loves it" but nothing seems to work.



Plays, runs, eats, appears healthy other than thin, maybe putting on a little weight but just a little.



Any ideas on what amount of the marquis to give....i cant believe you guys give it twice a day for 28 days.

Mack I did use this before and I know I didn't do it twice a day for 28 days...I have not had to use ot for a while and can not remember the dosages I used...I will see what I can find out..I do remember it was like a three day treatment.......let me see what I can find out...
 
Lanasvet, i had read that post there is nothing in it telling any dosage amount.

I give the 600 lb dose one day and then a second 600 lb dose 48 hours later. Works like a charm!
 
Mack..........if you want to check I am sending you a private message with Dr Wagners phone number.....he should be able to tell you the dosages....check Your private messages...

Jason E, there is no dosage forany poundage etc , the directions on the tube are what i wrote. 2 grams twice daily for 28 days

My tube has a treaded plunger that has lb dosages ,it's about the size of a hershey kiss. Sorry, but that's the best description I can give on dosage.
 
Hershey kiss size dollop on a piece of bread, repeat if necessary no more than one time a week later.



You are probably reading the dosage rate for horses which it was developed for...
 
Dollop size (teaspoon) given with piece of bread, please say a prayer!

4 days later ZERO Results for the marquis!



My bank account seems to really show an effect from the purchase of the marquis so i shouldnt say it didnt have results huh?
 
Mack.....I am not a Marquis dealer...nor do I hold any Stock in the manufacturer of the product......I apologize if it did not work for you and I am sorry you have not experienced any results as of yet.......I merely was telling you what worked for me and hoped that you would reap the same reward.......sorry that you are bitter about this......hopefully it will kick in and work for you soon.........can only give you advise as to what worked for me....wish I could guarantee it too......
 
Well said Dennis. Sometimes it's not worth offering advise when people seem to get upset if it doesn't work. It has worked great for me,I'm two for two so far, but I'm sure I'll get one it doesn't fix.
 
I truly am sorry it did not work...I even gave him a number to a vet that has done a ton of research on coccidia and has helped many to resolve their problems....I hope he has success......I was just a little taken back by his post I guess.....
 
Sorry...didnt mean for it to come out that way......

The problem with emails and typing is what yoyu mean to say and what comes out sometimes is not what was inteded.



I appreciate the advise and will continue to ask for it.



I just think its ashame that theres not more good info to help these critters.

Just trying to get him healthy...makes no difference what it costs it just seems like nothing is going to work....

Mack, I would give him another dose. The two times I've used it that's what I did. I have used both sulmet and corid with good results, but with major problems ponzaril is all that worked.
