Back in may of 2011 my wife found a fawn here on our farm next to our pool.
I registered for this site and began asking questions, one of the first replies was put him back.
Good advice, howver i learned and made friends here from this site, that helped me over the years, this little fawn tuned out to be an awesome friend,
He was my best buddy. We went through many highs and lows over the years, he saw me through divorce and many hardships taht life threw my way.
He has a run in with the fence on friday, he had quite a bit hung in his rack.
I was trying to decide if i wanted to knock him out and remove it. He seemed fine late Friday night when he followed me back inot the pen.Saturday came and he layed around a lot, saturday evening just before dark he wasnt himself.
This morning i found him dead , lying in his favorite spot seemingly dying in his sleep.
If i were guessing he fought so hard trying to free himself on friday he had some type of heart attack and just got weaker and weaker until he gave in.
I still have his girlfiriend((jo jo) of 9 years and one baby, It was very quiet tonight and this was the first night jo jo has ever been without him by her side.
Lucky was his name and he will be missed!
