I am cutting oil field pipe for post. The makita saw blades I am using are very slow. Does anyone have any experience in cutting pipe with a circular blade? Surely they make something faster than this.

This is not the cheapest way, but I use a potra-band portable band saw. I have a milwaukee, and have used porter cable & they seem to work very good. I have also seen a knock-off in Harbor Freight for about $120. Not much heat and quiet compared to chop saw. I use the chop saw when I need perfectly square ends that I will weld together.

Rent a Stihl demo saw with metal cutting blades and cut them like butter....
