Milk Replacement Powder

If you are using goats milk it shoud be pasturized. I came across a formula for feeding years ago and have been using it and a friend has been using it also with no problems. The amount you feed is 3-4 % of the fawns weight. So you need to weigh your fawns regularly. I don't remember how the formula goes but I did wright down the amounts. 5lb-3.2oz, 6lb-3.84oz, 7lb-4.48oz, 8lb-5.12oz, 9lb-5.76oz, 10lb-6.4oz, 11lb-7.04, 12lb-7.68, 13lb-8.32, 14lb-9oz, 15lb-9.6oz, 16lb-10.24, 17lb-11oz, 18lb-12oz. This is per feeding. And I start off feeding 5 feedings a day. As they get older and start eating greens and grain and drinking water I reduce they amount of feedings. This does sound very labor intensive as comparted to Red cap where you feed as much as they want 3 times a day. That's pretty simple. Hope everyone has happy and healthy fawns no matter how you decide to feed.
