Great pyrenees are some bad *** coyote killing machines, my cousin has 2 of them to protect their goats and the female will come home every now and again with a dead coyote and drop it by the front door to the house.

our deer are now ok with the dogs, white dog good brown bad, I do have some does that would love to come through the fence and put a stomp on the dogs. for the most part the deer move to the other side of the pen when the dogs come around. these dogs bond to the animals they will protect you can't start with an adult dog

We have two female great pyrenees that we keep on the west side of our deer pens. The other day I came home and the deer were blowing and running around nervesly due to something in the back yard. I grabbed my .243 and walked around the side of the house. Coming around the pond in the back yard and heading torward the deer pen was a **** hound. My dogs are between the pen and the **** hound but couldnt see him due to the weeds around the pond. The deer are on a hill and have a better view. As soon as the hound came into the yard the Great Pyerenees started in with their very loud and low toned bark. That dog turned instantly and trotted off the way he came.

Behind our pond is very thick low ground and I have heard coyote start howling in there. The great pyerenees go crazy barking and the next time I hear that coyote he is way off in the distance.

I have had my dogs for over a year now and they sure seem to be helping. You have to gradually introduce them to the deer. I tied them up about 50 yards from the deer pen and every week or so I would move them closer. They are now right up against the fence.

Brett- I have two females on my farm in Louisiana and they do fine. No coyote or dog problems with these girls.

P.S. Call me 337-322-2727 about AI ing

I'm in Texas and my cousin has 2 of them, no problems, like I said they are used around there goats, if you have coyotes in the area they might just "show up" on your door step dead.
