I have a breed doe that i found panting tonight when i got home from work. I heard her cough last night and passed it off from dry hay. but now im not sure. Shes very tame and the wind is blowing here and has for most of the night. I just went out and she was in one of my pins all alone. she will eat treats but the panting has got me worried. My other tame doe keeps running her off. What can i give her that wont abort her babys? Shes not hot to the touch Nor do i see and fluids from her eyes or mouth. PLease help.

Draxin was a good move for now, let it kick in, and see how she looks tomorrow, let us know.

this is the time of year when simmering issues blow up as deer have their metabolic change, ...treat quickly and heavily

Thanks Curtis and antler for your fast reply. I darted her with 2cc's of drax and that should take care of it. I just was not sure if that would hurt the fawn's. Do you know if nufor would be the next angle to take and how long should i wait after darting her with drax?

I could have given her more but i wasnt sure how much to give her at once if she does not improve i'll hit her with more in 36 hours. at that point should i give her 3cc of nuflor or stay with Drax?

Thanks Again Guys for all your help last night with my doe. Shes doing a lot better tonight .Shes eating she hay,Grain, and the green grass and dring well shes 100% better.. Thanks again for the help..... Tailor Made Whitetails

Great News, if she's not completely better yet, she will likely show symptoms in the next day or two, if that is the case she probably just needs a little more antibiotics, but you said she is acting 100% better, so i would say by now she is fine, It wouldn't hurt to worm her and give some probiotics in the next few days, that will really help fight off any reoccuring illness.
