18pxI found a seemingly healthy 2 week old fawn dead this morning.

18pxWatched him nurse last night, everything looked good.

18pxThis morning he's dead, still warm, and it feels like he is full of little air bubbles.

When I rubbed my hand along his side, you could feel and hear them.

He wasn't swelled up, looked very healthy.....what is this?

Thanks

Cut him open, only way to truly know. Post some pictures and I am sure some one will have your answer in minutes! Sorry for you loss.

Clostridia  could very well be the cause, it can be sudden ! there are a few types, sorry for your loss!
