Can you use the type P dart in the 389 cartridge gun at low settings? What happens if you do? Somehow ended up with a bunch of yellow darts in a group I bought off a deer guy that got out.. Thanks for any input.

Thanks all. I should be able to figure that out. I assume they just snap off and on.

Only the ends on the plastic darts pop off...so if darts are .5 cc 1.0cc or 1.5 cc they will interchange

My buddy and I swap darts all the time. He has P and i have C

I caution using the P style darts in cartridge fire models such as the 389 even when the tail is swapped. The P style dart is manufactured with a slightly lighter spring mechanism and may discharge prior to the dart reaching it's intended target. I would discourage against it. Best of luck to you.

Josh is very knowledgeable and I trust his advice.  I have switched the ends in a pinch and they worked.

Never had a problem so far. Just had to buy 5 packs of the wrong darts because Pneu Darts were still on back order after 3 weeks. Knock on wood. All worked out fine again.

Thanks to all and merry Xmas . Switched out yellow for red and all 10 worked great. Mule deer fawns are tagged and sorted.
