Purina AntlerMax Deer Breeder Elite 300+

In my opinion it is the best of all the feeds I have tried but the most expensive.

A little of my research experience

2 farms in 2011 started out using 300 , in 2012 both had huge 6 to 10 month old fawns . Then the 300 got really expensive so I decided to try something else 2013 the other farm had bigger 6 to 10 month old fawns than mine. So I tried going back to Purina but tried the 16 percent breeder professional pellet in 2014 other farm still had bigger 6 month old fawns so I bit the bullet and went back to 300 my deer are looking 100percent better. If there is any thing better I do not know about it. But I doubt it

We use Antlermax 20. We have used it for about 9 years. We have tried other products in the past but have had the best results with Purina. The product is consistent and we don't have to worry about feed - there are enough other things to spend our time on. Also, if you are having an issue, there is a Purina rep available to help you out or come out and do a herd check. We had the opportunity to visit their research facility in St. Louis and. I can tell you we were impressed. They have been in business over 100 years and are continually improving their products. They have some new products that are less expensive too, I believe their Advantage line has the solid basics but costs less.

Wild River looking to switch to Antlermax 20 and it seems as you are very happy and experienced with this product. With it not being a complete feed, are you mixing with anything for the roughage? Or do you feed good quality alfalfa hay with it? Thanks

During the winter months we do feed alfalfa with it. During the summer the pens are green and they have plenty to munch on. We also add a small amount of corn when filling the feeders. I do believe that Antlermax 20 could be a complete feed, but they do better if they have the alfalfa added.
