We bought Ivomec Plus Injection. I was reading on here about giving it orally but it was just saying Ivomec. Can you do the Ivomec Plus that way also??? A little confused and I would rather give it orally than to stick my babies.

ivermec plus is used for worming and treating for liver flukes.

what are your babies sick from?

if they are loose with and you have not been able to get them help with the charcoal probiotics or the other remedies you may want to give them neiomycin in the milk. it only takes a very small amount because the dosage rate is 1 teaspoon per 100 lbs and repeat four days.

If you do decide to worm your fawns... you should wait until they are older. Those are strong meds to give a baby and can affect their nervous systems. Proper dosage and age is best determined by a vet, and worming in deer is usually done in the fall and spring.

Mark or Dr. Joe or Scott, how much would you give of Ivomec to a yearling doe, 15 months old? She is in perfect condition otherwise. She is not at all on the thin side and eats really well. I would say she is an above average size.

Hi Lana! The dosage calls for 1cc per 110lbs. I always try to stay relatively close to the recommended dosage because I figure the drug company has already got us using plenty on account of wanting to sell more sooner. So I give a bit more at times, but not much. That being said, I know that many others use an ample amount more than what is recommended w/o any problems. Knowing you, she is no doubt fat and sassy :), so she is probably all she can be weight wise at 15 months old. I would give her 1.5 to 1.75cc.

I'm not a fan of ivomec I like dectomax or cydectin pouron topically. Don't drench with pour on though. Dectomax- 2cc per 100 IM, cydectin is double cattle dose. I like safeguard in fawns by mouth.
