question about needle size for *** sticks?

Henry, thanks for your response, I guess what I really meant to ask was what gauge needle. We have tried the 20 gauge and it does not work so well.
 
We Use Hypodermic needles 3/4" to 1" these are the ones vet use on cattle and havea very heavy hub and needle and are hard to bend when used to ***.
 
18 gauge, 3/4 inch , works very well for me. I use the stick that Henry sells.
