THE QDMA PROTEST

HAS A NEW RESPONSE FROM CARGILL / RECORD RACK.

SPONSOR OF QDMA.

SEE RESPONSE BELOW

QMDA IS SIDING WITH ANTI-HUNTING GROUPS TO ATTACK THE GENETIC ENHANCEMENT QUALITY DEER MANAGEMENT PROGRAMS OF THOUSANDS OF RANCHES ACCROSS THIS NATION THAT WORK WITH DEER BREEDERS TO BENEFIT THE DEMANDS OF THE HUNTING INDUSTRY.

THIS IS THE RESPONSE

FROM CARGILL

ABOUT HE PROTEST EFFORT AGAINST THE ANTI- DEER BREEDING POSITION OF QDMA.

CONTINUE TO VOICE YOUR CONCERNS TO OTHER SPONSORS

Thank you for your contact and voice on this matter. We have been monitoring it closely as well and would like you to know the following.

Cargill understands and respects various points of view regarding the deer population, and supports a number of organizations that sometimes have opposing views of others.

Unfortunately, some organization’s stated positions become too polarizing, and Cargill is compelled to suspend its support of those topics.

Cargill is committed to nourishing animals and educating deer enthusiasts on the importance of proper nutrition management, regardless of their habitat. Our focus will continue to remain on ensuring proper nutrition and development for all wildlife.

Cargill is aware of the Quality Deer Management Association position and active lobbying against expanding the commercial deer industry with its Feb. 22 press release. Cargill disagrees with any broad generalization that the commercial deer industry is harmful to wildlife hunting. We acknowledge concerns and support investigation and disease study, and stress the need to focus on proper management of commercial operations and free range management alike – but we firmly believe that responsible commercial deer operations pose little, if any, threat to wild deer. Cargill believes in free trade and open markets, including the rights of individuals to conduct legal business on personal property.

Please feel free to contact me for further discussions on this .

As I expressed to you over the phone of the deer farmers concern of your companies sponsorship of QDMA. Deer farmers and high fence preserve owners are joining together to fight the QDMA over their blatant attempt to stop high fence hunting and deer farming. Our main focus right now is their sponsors. The QDMA sponsors are the very people we support when we buy their products. We can no longer stand by idly and support their sponsors. Please educate yourself on the QDMA’s efforts to stop deer farming and hunting preserves. They are attempting to trample all over land owners rights.

Please see the attached letters from Purina and Cargill. We respectfully ask you to follow suit and pull your sponsorship.

Respectfully

Brett Easterbrook

I just got off the phone with Wildwood Genetics. They were not aware of the QDMA stance. They are considering the information now and will make a decision about their sponsorship. Please call them and object your opposition at 601 855 0910.

Are you aware that the QDMA has joined an all out attack of land owners rights by joining the fight to stop high fence preserve and deer farming? As a land owner and past supporter of the QDMA I am at the least shocked. Cargill and Purina have pulled their sponsorship of QMDA. I am asking you to inform all the land owners of Alabama of the stance taken by QDMA. This is as more of a land owner rights issue than a hunting issue. Many of the Alabama Land Owners are QDMA members and should be aware of their protest of the land owners rights.

I am sorry this is a dumb question? As for some of the sponsors like Remington, purina

and John Deer. If you buy anything from them then they will have that much more support, against us. Correct?

Remi

You are exactly right. Where you spend your money counts. What I am finding out is that their sponsors were not aware of the position they have taken. We should all contact their sponsors and let them know you will not support their products if they continue to sponsor QDMA. If the QDMA loses it's sponsors they will have a change of attitude.

Every sponsor and every land owner association should be contacted by all deer farmers and preserve owners.

I wouldn't say exactly. I would keep to the industry sponsors that benefit the most from our industry like the feed and nutrition side of things.

Personally for me Remington is still going to protect my house. John Deer is still going to mow my grass. And Budweiser will still quench my thirst. But Whitetail institute,Tecomate, and biologic to name a few will not get my support. Double standard? Maybe! But these businesses use deer raised in inclosures to test there products for market. For me that is a double standard.

Im just saying!

Not saying to sell the things you aready own but their are other products you can buy in the future. Buying from any of these places that support QDMA is in a sense supporting them know matter how you look at it. Take a stance let them no and maybe they will quit supporting the QDMA. If not you may have to start drinking something else. Buying any of these products would also be a double standard and in a sense you would be supporting those who don't support or go against deer farming.

It will not hurt to let them know how you feel about their sponsorship. Most of them have no idea what QDMA is doing. I will still use the products I have also but if the sponsorship continues I will not buy from them again. John Deere is a prime example of a sponsor that should be shocked. Almost every tractor the sale goes to a land owner. How many land owners want the government, or QDMA for that matter, telling them how to use their land.

What is QDMA's agenda with this. Enclosure hunting, wild herd hunting is all hunting. Each and every person in this country should have there choice to hunt how ever they like. If they are after the breeder's and preserve's and could by some chance get any of this outlawed ( I dont see that as a possibility ) dont they understand that the wild herd they say they are protecting will be next. Same as let them take one of your gun's today, before long they will be back for the rest of them.

I just dont buy CWD being the true reason.

How about Whitetail clover or I guess Whitetail Institute, do they suport QDMA. I need to sow clover this week and want to make sure I buy from the right group.
