Record Rack/Cargil Respond

I talked with the Whitetail Institute yesterday and they were blind sided by it.They were going to talk with Shawn Schafer about it.

I have been in contact with the owner of Nutra Deer through messages and phone conversations. It is clear that they to where blind sided by this and want all to know that they are not supporters of the stance taken by QDMA. There name was simply attached through an advertisement ran by one of there dealers. You can read his statement below:

My name is Jeff Williams and I own a business called Nutra Deer. I had a few phone calls about the QDMA's stance on Deer Farms. I would like you to know we ARE NOT sponsors of the QDMA. They are not listed on our partners page anywhere and we are not listed on their website as a sponsor anywhere. We do have a new dealer in GA (B and H Wildlife) that ran a ad with the QDMA, We have spoke to them and it will not run again. We support free range whitetail supplementation and whitetail deer farming. We have products that will work for both free range and farms.

I would like to thank Mr. Williams for his time.

Thank you Circle J Ranch for explaining our side of the story. I appreciate you removing us from your called out list of QDMA sponsors. The situation we found our selves in yesterday took us totally off guard. We are a very new brand of feed/supplements and we are trying to build relationships with deer farmers and open range land managers.

Nutra Deer just joined the OK Whitetail Deer Farmers Association a few weeks ago as we try to showcase our deer feed and minerals while listening and learning more about the deer farming industry. The last thing we wanted was to be caught in a conflict with deer farmers and a organization we don't sponsor.

I must say.....Even though we got drug into this with out really being a part of it, I have really enjoyed reading everyone's posts. This seems to be a great forum where people really help other people. I will continue to read and learn as we move our brand further into the deer farming market. Dr James Kroll is testing our Pro Antler 17% Professional Breeder pellet right now and If he likes it we are going to go public with that feed formula and try to get more deer breeders to take look at the feeds and minerals we have to offer. :)

Thanks,

Jeff

Jeff, welcome to the forums. I look forward to meeting you soon. I picked up a bag of your mineral for my bucks two weeks ago and they LOVED IT. Thank you for your support for the industry. I'm sure the support will be returned to you and Nutra Deer. Hope to see you on the 24th at the meeting in Duncan. Michael Peters

What is QDMA's agenda with this...I just dont buy CWD being the true reason.

I too wonder this, it was the first question that came to mind when I first heard about this a couple of weeks ago.

I wonder if someone with a severe vendetta against the industry used scare tactics with false information to convince QDMA they needed to take this huge stance. There's almost always someone behind the scense whose history or affiliations are fishy. After all this time and all the facts the CWD is deer farmer's fault thing isn't a sole cause anymore, surely.
