What is the cost of high fence per foot or per acre......trying to figure what the cost would be roughly to fence in 200 acres? Anyones help would be greatly appreciated!

It varies a lot depending on what kind of materials you use. I always hear $5/ft. I was managing a farm that had fence installed for $8/ft.

Dennis,

costs:

Surveying land

Ground work

Burn/Bury stumps

Fencing 10' with wood poles $4-$5 per foot

30" skirting hog tied to bottom

Two strands if hot wire

Gates locks

Cover skirt with dirt and seed lanes

Ice down your favorite Wisconsin Beer and let the bucks run.

Out of all the contractors helping Apple Creek John from Straight line Fencing Wi was by far the hardest working, honest, professional, pro I have worked with on the project. You can contact John at 715-454-7018 Dennis you can trust him.

Scott:)

8 foot with galvanized pipe is around 4$ foot. A buddy of mine is very good at putting fence up. He will go anywhere. If I can help. I'll get you in touch with him

Another one is Beem Fence. www.beemfence.com 231-510-8122 He installed our fence and it is straight as an arrow even after 15 years. He goes all over the US. Give Mark Beem a call - he is located in Michigan.

Thanks everyone for the help...I am just in the beginning stages right now....crunching a bunch of numbers and putting together the business plan.......

Hey dennis i will give you a really good deal. You can trust me buddy ol pal.

That is a good price but buyer beware, you get what you pay for. I sell Stay-Tuff fence and I am located in PA. The fence Kencove is selling for that comes from Australia and is not nearly as strong.

Dennis, you mean if you installed it and just materials cost, or the cost to have it installed (with materials included)?

Hey Jens............I was talking about having it installed....but this is an old thread and I have pretty much found all the answers I need........hope all is going well.

Sorry Dennis, i didnt notice the original post dates. Doing well, got thru the AI day, so now just waiting till fawning season with my fingers crossed. Reason i asked is my buddies install livestock fence for a living, was gonna pass that along.

Jens we just aied today.......three different farms.......had a doe break a leg at the one farm but all in all it went pretty well.............we survived another year!!!! now cross fingers and hope the semen does it's job!!!!

We use Red brand Cattle fence 47 in. We have alot of ceders on our property. We bought 10 foot t post. The 11 1/2 foot ceder where free the tpost $8 and the 330' redbrand is $129 a roll. 2 stands of barbwire to make it 8 feet.

330 feet of fence

11 cedar free

22 tpost $176

2 rolls wire $258

1 roll barwire $60

1 gate $250

That under $3 and foot for us and we have 21 deer in 9 acres.
