I have two bucks that seem to be scouring, tails black and gummed up, went to get fecal sample to take to vet, and one ran off and dropped a big chunk, so I walked over and picked it up, but it looked normal. Why would his (their) backsides be all tarry if they're having normal movements? Still waiting on results.

Four samples came back, only one had anything, and it was just one egg-I'm shocked they were as clean as they were, and probably more confused than ever, now. Any ideas?

it is the rut or prerut some of the deer strain during their activities and well crap with their tails down

Excellent, Curtis! I was beginning to wonder if I was being blackballed or something...if your idea is what I'm going through, what a relief!

If you do end up having scouring Deer use a product called Revive. it will dry them up and they will crap dust. not literally but it is an affordable probiotic that boosts the immune sysem. you can by it on my website www.elusive-whitetails.com or talk to edie ray borkholder with pine creek deer farm. he will tell you about it.

How do you use revive? do you put it in there feed ? Thanks

Revive is a Probiotic with good beneifical bacteria and enzymes and yeast extract(the best type of yeast on the market). Revive is heavily weight toward digestion and restabalition of good bacteria in the rumen and digestive tract. It also has a bacteria that produces B vitimans to help stimulate feed intake and help with stress. Revive also has bacteria that helps fight ecoli and salmonella. Revive has a very high bacteria count which is what you need for a good digestive tract. Revive also improves body condition and the immune system. As far as how to use Revive you just mix with the feed. The feeding at rate is 2 grams per head per day. If you go to deertrader.com there is more info. and a testimonial from Eddie Ray Borkholder of Pine Creek Deer Farm. I will have a website soon.
