Nope. Myself and another farmer from Ny are having the same problem!

Its not on the xchange after the transaction is complete, Its between you and the seller. There lies the problem. The xchange gets the seller their money and then they are in no big yank to release the straw. I have one out there pushing a couple months and cant get a reply from the farmer.

Maybe its time for todd to start a non-releaser list just like he has a non-payer list. That might light a fire under a few people!

I don't know the specifics on your cases. However I sold some semen a while ago and haven't shipped it yet to the buyers. Breeding season isn't for another 3+ months yet, and storage by my place is free to the buyers. I also have my own shipper tank so when I decide to ship there is no delay waiting for a shipper tank like at some places. How would I feel if I was a buyer? The same way I do now because I also have semen coming to me I intend to use this year. As I say, I don't know your case specifics. If you have told your sellers you want it right away and the shipping has been paid for, then yes, stay on them as they should have sent it then. Good luck!

Maybe WTE should hold the money till the transfers are complete and then release the funds to the seller........I always thought that made more sense....I too had issues with transfers taking a long time....one took over a year.......

A year?!?! That would suck! Semen should get moved in time to be used that season. No question at all.

Roger you are right if you have had some contact with the buyer that he is okay with keeping it stored at your facility. But I have had issues with some sellers on WTE that simply don't respond to your calls and they are supplied by WTE with all of your contact information. But Todd has always worked with me and made things right! No matter what business you are in you seem to always have Deadbeat Sellers and Buyers. Yep there are buyers using WTE that don't pay after they win an auction. WTE in my book has always done thier utmost to keep all of its members Satisfied.

Just give me a call or shoot me an email and I can "Light a Fire under them".

As a seller for many people on WTE I also release for many people which is very nice and I must say it make me feel trusted by the owner. I have released many straws over the years and have had some that have never called to get them from the facility (GLSS or whomever) until almost a year later. GLSS will call me or just place the straw back into the owners inventory at his expense. Then close to breeding season they call GLSS to get the straw and it is no longer valid due to the time and that is when I get a nasty call from the buyer. When I release the straws I have it listed on the release from that I send to the buyer and seller that the straws MUST be transferred within 3 weeks or it goes back to the owner. Since I have started this with GLSS I have not had much issue if any. What I am getting at is that it is sometimes the buyers fault and not the sellers but it can all be worked out with a simple phone call.

I have purchased lots of semen off the Whitetail Exchange . I have my own tank and I like to work with GLSS and Champion because they are great at what they do !!! I don't want to rush semen I buy here at the last minute in the fall so I usually have straws shipped as soon as possible. There are some guys I will no longer buy semen from because as has been stated they just don't released the stuff ! You can call them and they'll tell you they'll release it the next day and 6 calls and a month later they still haven't released it ! Now you got the shippers lineing up your shippments and theres always that one guy who just doesn't release the dang stuff , so you call and call the guy trying your best to help the shipper out and get this stuff shipped but because of one or two guys it just can't happen ! Yes it's frustrating to say the least !!!

I have purchased semen from Whitetail Exchange and the customer service I get from everyone there is great.

I'm not sure if it is feasible or not but it would be great if W.E. would hold the money until they get a copy of the semen transfer or release then disburse the funds.

Buyers are held accountable to pay and sellers are held accountable to make the transfer.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Yep.....my response was by no means a slap at WTE I have always loved their services....Todd has always taken care of me.......however, if they held the funds till the deer and or semen has been transferred I bet there would be a lot quicker transactions.......just a thought......

Just a note..I bought a straw from Darren Deckard at the last sale. Got the transaction complete Monday, Sent him an email at 8am today and he called me at 3pm today to let me know its in my acct at Great Lakes! Thats fast service!!!

ya I have called 4 people this week about semen that was bought 2-3 months ago one straw was purchased in feb,i got one answer telling me oh I sold that for someone else you need to contact them and no answers from the other 3after leaving messages we shouldn't have to run to todd just to get what we have purchased months ago

Agreed, if you sell for someone as I do then you are the contact person between both buyer and seller. I like having the ability to release purchased straws for my sellers, it makes it simple and fast.

If you are having trouble with a seller please leave bad feedback so we know who to stay away from when we buy. I have a few that we won't buy from even if it is a great deal. If we start using the feedback like they do on ebay the bad sellers will get weeded out. Tell the truth and give them one star.

i would like to clarify something from my last post on this subject, this post was to try to wake up sellers of semen to get on the ball and release there product just as we buyers have to pay promptly ,whitetail exchange is just the middle man as adults we shouldn't have to run to someone and tell on them just to get what we have purchased whitetail exchange is just like ebay they are providing us as sellers and buyers a place to post and purchase products im sorry if anyone took this the wrong way,i have had a few problems with a few sellers (your going to have that)but todd has always went out of his way to straighten it out

I will say that in the past I have had some transfers that were slow. Todd was always able to help me 110% and get it going if I ever got in a worried state. I think all in all it will always work out. Right now is crazy for everyone in the business!

On another note I sold a straw once on WE and the buyer asked that I hold it for a while until he needed it. Of course I did and when he was ready I shipped it. Sometimes people don't want it released until they are ready to have all their semen put together to get shipped to them.

In my case I was asked, as a buyer and sell I just think there needs to be clear expectations as soon as possible and it might resolve some issues.

here I am waiting o semen for s specific buck that was purchased on may 22. 2013 im tired of waiting before long I will forget its time for mr. Russell walk to get things rolling. if he has enough time to relist he has time to release the semen. my name is arnold sheets 11234 George lambert rd. st.amant, Louisiana 225-644-5639 my acct is at glss thanlks for your TIME

well cloud I"ll tell you . Just about everybody has transferred in a manner to be expected and a time frame that is very acceptable, except one person that seems to refuse to transfer this legacy semen . you know I may just donate that 100. dollars to him and call it a learning experience. but you know I'm a slow learner. I bid on some other semen and guess who has it listed yep same guy. at a lost
