i have a doe that is still caughing used safeguard pellet dewormer a week ago . it seems like she is breathing hard and has her mouth open an some mucus in her nose . it rained here yesturday all day . i went to tsc today an bought probios and some ivermec tube paste and gave her alittle dose of theses . she also is chasing her sister doe around alot laying inside barn by the feed an water with the fawns . anybody know why she would be doing this ? it seems like she don't want her sister to get any food or water . and here sister is starting to look thin mybe because she is chasing her so much . is she doing this because she is not taking care of her babies right i have seen them both nursing them any ideas ? they are both tame deer but i have no dart gun to put them down for meds that way an less i call a vet . anybody think this caugh is allergenic an not serouis ? hope someone can give me some good info on what else i can do to help her .

Your doe sounds more like she has a very bad cold or worse. Worming is not going to do anything for this animal in my opinion. Your in a state where there are many other deer farmers. I would sugest you call your state deer association and see if someone is in your area that can dart this animal with Draxxin for you. I would choose this drug for it's long acting qualities and it works well on colds. If you can give her a shot yourself I would do it as soon as you can with Draxxin.

Try giving (NUFLOR) 3cc , It treats coughing,nasal discharge and also respiratory diseases. I would also give 3cc of Baytril if you have any.... or La200. You can dart these meds too,one on each side of back muscle.... in leg. Good Luck !!! These doses are for an adult deer by the way .....
