Recently, a buck fawn was abandoned by its mother in my backyard. We left it alone for a day or so but unfortunately it just cried out the entire time. We decided to take it in and have been nursing him for about 2 weeks now and he seems healthy other than his ears have developed some sores. They seem to really bother him, he shakes his head around when he walks. The sores have scabbed over and are beginning to leak pus. They are very thick, and double the thickness of his ears. I’ve researched and it doesn’t look like ringworm or mites. It could be mange. I’m not sure if mange could develop just in the ears?? any insight would be helpful!!!!
