We have a doe that has been acting stiff for about the last month. It just looks like her muscles are stiff all the time. She is only 2 so it shoudnt be arthiritis. Any advice? She doesn't seem to feel ill, she eats and drinks normally, and hasn't lost weight. Thanks!

Check her hooves. Look up Founder in Goats and see if it sounds familiar.  I have one that has always had hoof issues but exhibited signs like you described.

The EHD virus can settle in their hooves and legs. They will walk very stiff for several months some times from it. Look closely at her hooves. If she has rings or ridges going over the top and around her toe nails this is likely the from EHD. If her toe nail are growing too long, then she has foundered and will require that her hooves be trimmed a couple of times per year.

A friend of mine Mike Gregory lost a huge buck on October 30 this year. He was necropsied and PCR results confirmed his cause of death was EHD. Mike is 40 minutes north of me. We had a hard freeze on around October 25. I lost deer into the first couple weeks of October. I am shocked EHD would be still a problem the end of October this far north.
