Hello everyone you'll probley know I'm new to the forum I've recently got some new red deer and had them 2 weeks now just seeing what the best method is to tame them I don't want the stag tame obviously.

But be great to get the hinds tame to come to call etc I've been going in the enclosure,at first they would run right off but now they just huddle in the corner I go in with some provin and shout them over and spead it out in a trof then walk off and been doing that can get about 30yard away now without them running off what the best quickest way to get them less scared and friendly.? Thanks again everyone :)

Keep doing what your doing....go in daily with treats. It may take a bit lmore time, but I assure you when they recognize that you are the food provider they will calm down. It doesn't hurt to keep them a little hungry for grain at first, don't overfill the feed bin, give them enough food to last about 12 hours a day (keep hay in the pen at  times for when their feeder is empty), then they will tame down even faster, they will even get excited to see you. I used to bottle feed fawns, now I don't anymore. They get tame enough by using this method. I can even pet mother raised fawns using this method.
