I had to add this thread here as well as the other location because I am moved and wanted to share it with everyone.

I had placed a thread on here before thanking John Wells, JD and Rick Miller for their awesome generocity at the show in Lancaster just a few weeks ago. I had recently found out my finance has cancer in her colon, liver and ovaries and I had explained this to John just in case I had to leave the show early. I told them we had planned on getting married next September in 2010 but we moved it up to November 15th of this year because of what we found out. I Love this woman with all my heart and I want her to know what it is like to be married, she is 44 and never married before. I want he to understand the Love between and husband and a wife before anything might happen and time runs out. Well these guys made some phone calls to several deer farmers, friends, family, these all fit very well, and they donated some straws to which John announced a raffle at the auction and all the money was going to Cindy and I for our honeymoon. Since we were planning this wedding only next September, we have nothing set aside bacuase the home is not paid off until July of next year and I still owe on the vehicle. Cindy is the community pastor at my church and pastors really don't get paid well so we were really looking to be in a bind but thanks to John, JD and Rick as well as the donators and bidders, they gave us a nice donation to help with the expenses and we really appriciate it very much. Now as I am looking on Whitetail Exchange today I noticed Todd Morgan has donated 2 straws to this for us and I am once again, humbled at the generocity shown. You guys, not just John, JD, Rick and Tood, but all the deer farmers across this land have completly amazed me over the past 3 years. I am glad I am living my dream of being a deer farmer and while I may not be long into the business, it sure is a business that friendships are estabilished and cultivated. Attending the PA Deer Farmers picnic a few months ago, it was nice just to see everyone mingling and talking, not stabbing eachother in the back as some businesses do, this is a unique group of people working together, laughing together and sometimes crying together. Ron Bowersox and his with along with Dale from Windy Hill Whitetails have treated me like family, they board my deer, treat my deer when needed, and advise me on the industry and I Love them very much. Andy Foor has also been a friend for a long time along with many others. I know I have rambled on here but I just felt led to share how I am feeling and the Love I feel for you all in this great business we call deer farming. I also wanted to take the time to thank you all for this support because without you guys, there would be no wedding or honeymoon for Cindy and I. While it does not pay the entire bill, it sure does help absorb some of the expenses so again, thanks to you all, John, JD, Rick and Todd. You have no idea how you have Blessed us not by the money but by your spirit and Faith.

Henry, First off, CONGRATS on the wedding. Second, I will keep you and Cindy in my prayers. May God keep you both safe, sound and healthier as you start out your new lives. God bless you. And your are right on the money, the deer "family" is a great one. If I can help out in any way just ask.
