First I have a 2 year old doe that had twin fawns on the 22nd and for the last couple days noticed she lays around and dosnt feel good so today I spent a little time trying to figure out what may be the problem. And noticed a bloody mass about 3/4" diameter a 2" long coming out of her female part. This would be 11 days after giving birth. Nasty looking but no foul smell hoping this may be normal. I should mention I had pulled the fawns after 3 days to bottle feed.

This brings me to my second question after pulling fawns off mother is there anything should be done to dry mothers milk up? Seems nature has already done so but noticed milk bag had small sores looked like ant bights drying up.

Darted her with 1.5 cc draxxin any other recomendations would be appreciated.

Not good ....she may not have cleaned out properly after giving birth...or worse yet may have another dead fawn stuck inside her.......if you could get a pic that would help greatly.....

It may be that she has a slight prolaps . Not there to see . I`ve only seen one but there was about 18 inches of her hanging out . Yes a pic would help if thats possible . once you pull the fawns she will start to dry up unless there are other fawns in with her that are stealing a drink or two . :)

could be a hematoma from the ******l wall, happens to animals during birthing. If so it will take care of itself. If so she should act pretty normal though.

It is possible that part of the placenta is still within her. 1cc oxytocin should clear that up as well as giving anti-biotics. But make sure 200% that it is not any part of her female anatomy. Like mentioned a picture would be super helpful in diagnosis.

Don't think I was real clear on the bloody mass it actually came out of her I did pick it up with stick on yesterday and hang on tree limb. I did go out to pen and took picture not sure if this will help but I'm going to try and post pic. However she does seem to fill better today.

Click the "Go advanced" button and then the paper clip next to the smiley face. Sounds like discharge, I'd start anti-biotics asap + Oxytocin. Feel free to contact me by phone or email.

Ryan gave her draxxin and dex and she seems to be doing great now. Not sure what antibiotics you would use but I use draxxin for everything and it seems like a miracle drug. Hate to try anything else but wonder if you should rotate antibiotics like wormers to help keep effective.

Great to hear she's doing better. Baytril works pretty well and can be combine with banamine to reduce any swelling and pain. Glad i could be of assistance, please keep me updated.
