Is it SHINY black and smooth or black textured?

I've had a few with warts..they grow and fall off. They don't get real big. This yr i have 2 deer with BIG SHINY SMOOTH Black growths that don't look like warts. The look more like buckeye nuts. That growth looks BIG. Like what mine have. I don't THINK mine are warts BUT who knows? Maybe there are different types of warts??

It's funny yall bring this up because I have a trail cam pic of a Wild yearling buck with this same kind of black shiny spot? I think I've deleted the pictures but if I get another one of him I will post. Of the twenty or more different deer on my trail cam deer this is the only deer I've seen with it. It's also the only one I've ever seen!

looks like a parasite to me it will more than likely fall off or go down keep an eye on it though T&S

Some years I have more than normal, but this year I haven't had any. Sure looks like a wart to me, it will be fine and fall off on it's own, but if you had him down for some OTHER reason, like TB testing, I would snip it off, but only for my own satisfaction.

Its called a cutaneous fibroma. Basically its just a wart. Lol. No worries!

What Tyler said... Wart/Papilloma.  Most fall off once the weather cools down.  Some of them can grow quite large.  Just had a doe we AI'd that had a huge one on her belly that Dr. Gourley removed before Ai'ing.  Basically harmless, but can be unsightly.
