Hello. This is my first year deer farming and first time with fawns. Today my fawns are 12 weeks old. They are doing very well. Do to pen space and the way I Have them seperated I would like to pull fawns as soon as possible from mother. They are drinking water and eating pellets and hay. Is it safe to pull them or would u guys recommended leaving them alone for another week or two. The fawns will be staying in same pen. Just moving mother over one pen. Thanks for any responses.

chris35, I feel they will be fine. I separate mine any time after 9 weeks, depending on the circumstances. My opinion only. Allen

It is time to wean, they most likely will do fine, just watch the temperature of the days, the fawns will go thru some stress and cooler days is a good thing. Julie
