Between shipshy and Indy
I recently heard that 80% of the DNR's funds come from deer licenses. They think that hunting preserves threaten their livelihood.
If this is true and the main reason they want us shut down, how can we change this to either prove its not so, or make it so hunting preserves are a bonus to their livelihood. I believe the DNR is trying to eliminate preserves by eliminating farms using CWD as the tool to due so and so far it is working. It's just a matter of time before every states borders are closed. I can't help but think that if we continue down this path we will loose.
The hatred isn't just from the officers level. I know a deerfarmer who's lifelong friend is a conservation officer and he had asked him why the dislike of deer farming. He was told that it is drilled into them from the beginning of training that deer farms and preserves have to go.
Is there a way to get the DNR on our side?
Is their any state that the DNR approves of preserves and farms?
Has anyone talked to the DNR about this?
