Just wondering with all the talk about this farm and that farms "Super Doe"!

What do you consider the criteria is for a "Super Doe" ?

How many sons and how big do they need to be to be out of a "Super Doe"?

How many different sires does the "Super Doe" have to be bred to and produce sons and daughters out of ?

Does this "Super Doe" Hit a Home Run every time she is bred ?

OR can even a "Super Doe"...........Strike Out once and a while ?

Can a DeerFarmer...................Buy a doe off of another DeerFarmer and by breeding her to a different group of Sires than the previous owner..............find themselves a "Super Doe" ?

Just courious what folks think!

These are some of the questions I hear folks talk about and some of the Questions that make me wonder!!!!!!!!!:)

1.Consistency No 1 and dones.

2. Define big. Big may mean different things to different people.

3. Several. Again define big.

4. As many as you want.

5. Deer are like people. Not perfect or flawless and will strike out from time to time.

6. Absolutely. That's what makes it fun. Figuring out how to breed each animal to get the results you desire. Everyone has different opinions on breeding and how to breed deer.

Wayne, I look at a doe's power by seeing her son's! If she is bred to say an older sire, and her son is the biggest son that sire has ever had, its enough to convince me. If she has a son that does not hit that personal best so to speak , it doesn't mean she ain't a super doe. However with the level of today's genetics, being able to sort between all the hype one can ultimately secure himself a superdoe! I have a couple of them now and I just purchased another at the Top 30! -Jason

For me the 2 doe's I have are super does because they are all that I have. I am just starting with deer or at least whitetail. I had fallow deer many years ago. My first fawns will be this year so I have no idea if the does are going to be good or not. A farm near me dose artifical breeding and he is willing to help me to try and breed for better deer each year so I have faith that we will get a super doe some day soon.

SUPERDOE... A doe that no matter what she is bred to improves the sire in which she is bred.... She don't necessarly always throw wide, or long times, or mass. She takes whatever she is bred to and super sizes it !!!!!
