Whitetail Exchange said:I can tell you that I do absolutely EVERYTHING I can do to try to get the sellers the money they have coming to them. I send reminders to late payers, I invoice, I just about beg and plead with the buyers sometimes who pay late.
When a sale is completed each buyer instantly gets an email telling them that they are the winning bidder. This email instructs the buyer to send their money to Whitetail exchange within 7 days. Trust me, the names that are listed were not 7 days late. Some of them are two and a half months late. I try everything I can to get the money for a purchase and as a last resort list their name.
I am very slow to put a name on the web site. Only after I have explored all my other options do I put a name up there. Put yourself in the shoes of the seller. What if you had one straw of semen that you wanted to sell. Say it sells in late July. Now it is mid October and you still haven’t been paid for it. Breeding season is now upon us. So now you can’t get your straw sold this year and next year it is one year older genetics with a whole new crop of deer to compete with. Is your straw worth as much next year?
Feedback only is great in a perfect world. Whitetail Exchange has now completed almost 3000 transactions and I am willing to bet that there is not 300 feedbacks left. I guess the bottom line is that when something is purchased, it should be paid for. If you were the person selling the item you would want me working hard to collect your money.

and your real name Shasta?
Todd,
First of all, thanks for all you do on Whitetail Exchange. it's a great site and the industry is fortunate to have it. However, don't get your feelings hurt when people make complaints. Customer feedback is a very valuable thing and positive or negative it helps you improve your business. For the record, I really don't care if you list non-payers, I am not one so I could really care less. I do wish the sellers name was listed, however. I also wish people would take advantage of leaving the feedback and possibly email reminders from WE could help this process. If a buyer wins an auction and doesn't pay, and that person receives negative feedback I guaranttee you that he will have a lot of trouble ever selling anything on WE in the future. The feedback section gives the buyer all the info he / she needs when used properly. In fact, I have a few feedbacks I forgot to leave that I'm going to do right now. Just my thoughts as a consumer.
