I have a fawn that is getting over scours, i gave him 10cc C&D antitoxin, 5cc pennicilan yesterday, seemed to already firm up but for the third day in a row he cant finish a bottle, Absolutely no appetite, that is the worst sign, I can deal with scours but no appitite is bad. He acts excited as any of my others when i offer him the bottle, but He will take 2-3 ounces out of his 10 ounces then he stops and act full, he stands there looking miserable for a few minutes, but he is not bloating. I am getting plenty of electrolytes in him to keep him hydrated, he looks good, bright eyes, warm ears, cold wet nose, he even wags his tail in joy when he sees the bottle. but I am concerned that he will be getting weak with lack of nutrition soon. I have had a fawn skip a meal or two in the past, but this has already gone on too long already, it has to be correced asap, any thoughts.
