We've got a doe fawn born late July and today we noticed some sores on the left side of her head. I've reached out to a couple of other farmers and so far no one has seen anything like it. We've also sent a pic to our vet and are waiting to hear back from him. If anyone has any ideas we would greatly appreciate it.

did they swell up and then burst? Could be Fuso, if so treat with Draxxin or preferably Zachtran.

sores on face

i know this reply is late, but,, that fawn has ring worm it will go away by its self

if its fuso it will start as a bump and swell up till it pops.. treatment 6cc tetradure or pro 300 if its ring worm it starts out as a smaller slightly raised bump with the hair on it then the raise hair scab will fall off leaving a flat sore that goes a way and it may have several sores like that,, doesn't hurt the fawn at all
good luck

We had treated her draxxin for 3 days, and she seemed to recover. Then in Nov, she was suddenly not eating and lethargic. Treated her with 3cc nuflor but within 2 days we lost her.

Lathargic. Droopy ears wet under chin main signs for phenomena. Draxin or excede. That's for repository. That's all I use .. Had great luck. I use draxin first. A bit expensive but 5$ per cc is cheaper than looking a 1000$ fawn. Or a 50$ pet fawn . And sorry you lost her
