Stress

I was wondering what people's thoughts are on stress and antlers...

I bought my buck last year...As a yearling he had a 20" inside spread...

He was attacked by dogs... I guess really bad from what I am told... several deer died... several were real banged up... and one had a testicle ripped out... Three dogs got into the pen and really messed them up.

I got him late last year...So he changed farms shortly after the dog thing...

He is only Three this year...

I love his look... he is (I'm guessing) 23 inches inside...

I would love it if his tine length would increase...From looking at him I feel the potential is there...He is a Redoy Jim buck...I am wondering if he will recover from the stress...What is every one's thoughts???

The pictures are from this Aug-today he shed...I am trying to decide if I should use him as a breeder for my shooter herd doe's but I have other options ...I think the potential is there but???

my opinion he would do well in as a shooter buck breeder, hes not to bad looking. I just started 3 years ago and I dont have anything huge yet, so at my farm I would use him.

but will not keep him from passing down great deer if that is what he was going to do . I have seen lots of bucks that never break 190 have most of his sons 220 + ,stuff just happens ,bread carefully and good luck !

What was Micheal Jorden's fathers NBA Stats? Nuff said!!

Yeah...I have three different herds... a pet herd, a shooter herd, and a breeder herd. But I put a lot of thought into what does I have in all of them...

I am going to AI at least 8...And I bought a Driftwood/Avalanche buck and a Maxbo XL/ DANDY/LADY=Thunder/Flees Lucky buck to use...But in my shooter herd I really love that bucks looks and wondered if he would push them out a little better if he was stress free this year...I know he would pass on to his sons... but wonder if people have had them off one year and back to great next year or if stress sets them up to be smaller for life....

Thank-you
