“A simple thank you does not seem adequate enough! We had an amazing week at the Texana Ranch. Carl and Krisha Beal were amazing and went above and beyond. They provided us with their hunting lodge for the entire week and had a full variety of snacks waiting for us. They gave us full use of their Razors and Polaris Ranger to wander around their 5,000 acre ranch. Mr. Beal took each of us that wanted to for a ride in his Baja truck around the ranch! We toured the entire ranch several times, hiked, and played in the razors and ranger. The hunting guide came on Friday morning and got Ken and Justin. Justin had chosen to hunt a ram. They drove to the firing range so Justin could practice on the gun he was using as it was the first time he had ever shot with it. The first try and he was 1/2 inch from the bulls eye. They drove around looking for the rams and finally found them. Justin was set up in the front seat of the truck. The closest they could get was 125 yards away. Ken had to brace Justin's back and shoulders and Justin had to regulate his breathing to Kens to accurately get a shot off. He took down a Black Hawaiian Ram with the first shot. We are all so proud of him! Justin said he "felt like a man" with his first hunting kill. We brought the ram meat home with us and the Beal’s are going to have the head mounted and it will be ready in about 6 weeks. They graciously offered us the use of their hunting lodge anytime it is empty for free. Thank you so much for everything. We had had a bad report from one of Justin’s doctors the week before so this was a much needed pick me up and break for our entire family. You have no idea how much this trip and getting his first kill lifted Justin’s spirits! He is "walking" on air! Here are a couple of pics of Justin and his ram.”
