Hello all,

I was on facebook the other day and then also saw another one in a profile pic here on deerfarmer. I am looking for the teeny tiny fawn pic (like 2-4 lb fawn). The one I saw on facebook had a $20 bill propped up next to it. The one I saw here was being held in one hand.

1st- would like to find those pics (or if anyone else has any others)

2nd- would like permission to use the pics in an article for this issue of Deer Tracking

Help!

Hi Tara, the one of the deer in the hand is dearjohn's profile pic. Maybe he has a full size copy to share with you! Hope y'all are doing well up north! God Bless!

Tara, the picture of the fawn and the $20 bill is one my daughter took. The fawn was 2.5 pounds at birth and is a week old now and weighed 5 pounds as of yesterday. I will see if I can get the picture for you.

This is Peanut. Peanut was 3 lbs when he was born and was pretty much on his death bed at 2 days old. I stayed up all night saving him by putting warm milk/electrolytes down his throat. The next morning, he started sucking and he is a healthy 2 year old buck right now growing a pretty good set of antlers. And tame as a kitten....right now. That is a little remote btw :)

Thanks! Just what I was looking for. Painted meadows, you're right, a closer look at the bigger pic still showed "cute" but not whitetail...but still cute!

Susan & Jerry, If we have room yet tomorrow, can you send me those pics just in case?

Would love to try to work them in. And thanks DearJohn for the note! Thanks all for the quick replies!

He did after about 3 days. He stayed in the house for 2 1/2 months (slept beside me on the floor in a bed I made for him) and is growing some nice antlers this year as a two year old. He was a tiny one for sure. I would carry him around in one hand when I went places for several weeks. He would just lay there. They take extra tlc though. Had a 3 1/2 pounder last year (doe). She is alive and well too....kinda a pain in the a$$ she is so tame :) Both were triplets and must have gotten the short end of the stick in the womb!

Got them both! Thank you thank you! Sent them off to printers this morning.

Wow! That's another small one. Have any idea what its newborn weight was? Did these tiny fawns tend to be triplets by any chance? We had one that was a twin (3 1/4 lbs) and the twin was 9 lbs.
