With the PA Auction coming up this weekend I wanted to give interested buyers a little more insight on the bucks my lots (66 & 165) in the auction can be bred to. I will also leave the option to the buyer that they can take the doe open and I'll include a straw choice off the farm.

Moonshine 194" BC @ 1 (velvet score)

He's showing a 17 1/2" spread and a beautiful 6x6 picket fence frame with a really nice out-rigger on his undamaged antler and has a very similar look to his father as a yearling. He's 194"+ as he sits, but may have been 200"+ with two good sides. He's got big bases and a great look with those little extras that really grab your attention. His pedigree is very proven, so it shouldn't be a struggle for this guy to keep upping the ante every season. His mother is an Eclipse daughter, also the mother to Red Ridge's PA Eclipse 196" @ 1 who is estimated in the 300" range @ 2. Luna is a daughter of Walks Savage/Tami doe who is the mother of Willy Swarey's Knockout 270"+ and Mark Sipes' Outer Limit 240"+. It's no fluke this boy is the way he is and should pass down his desirable genetics with consistency. Limited amounts of semen will also be available on him so if you can't find or afford Energizer, this guy is your next best option!

Roosevelt 302" BC @ 3

attachment.php

Roosevelt is an up and coming Rolex 3 yearold, 7x7 mainframe with impressive tine length on a beautiful picket fence. As a 3 yearold this year he scored 302 3/8" BC. Grandson to Walk’s famous Red 8 doe, mother of LJ & Numax (two big typicals with the “look”.) Blitzen daughters have produced some of the largest frames in the country such as GD Romeo and his twin brother will score approx 270" on an 8x6 frame. Roosevelt is beautifully out crossed, the result of 4 distinct purebred crosses; High Roller/Y-125/O-14 (Blitzen/Red 8). Inbreeding him or adding another purebred outcross will result in extremely strong offspring. Roosevelt has only ONE 2 yearold son to my knowledge and he scored 286" with an estimate 27" inside spread undamaged. He also has a yearling in NY estimated in the 160-170" range. Roosevelt has not been bred to many does and his offspring will be very hard to come by. His button bucks are by far the biggest I've ever had on my farm!

Here is the Roosevelt Yearling from NY that Dustin speaks of above--FSW Roscoe. He also has a twin brother FSW Rascal that we cut last weekend that scored just shy of 140. FSW Rascal had a touch of a jaw infection the beginning of the summer.

A big thanks goes out to Grant Lazarus of G&G Whitetails in Germansville, PA for the purchase of Full Throttle 161 3/8" @ 1. I have to say, in all the years we've been raising whitetails I've never had a yearling even close to the 25 2/8" inside spread that this boy had, it truly was amazing. This boy is bred to be wide, combining the spread throwing capabilities of Mark Sipes' Reno, Flees' BJ and Harry Strawser's Kaylee all into one package. According to Mark, this would be Reno's widest yearling son and we all know those mature Reno bucks sprout solid 30"+ spread measurements in their maturity, so this boy will only continue to get wider. The bottom of his pedigree is the womb sister to Birchwood's grandmother who was also over 25" wide and scored well into the 300s. She would be BJB/Lil 50/Kaylee. Thanks again to Grant and his family for supporting our program and if you have any comments or questions about Full Throttle please direct them his way. 484-239-8574

With Whitetail Exchange's select sale ending tomorrow night I would like to remind you all to check out our GD Romeo daughter live bred to Energizer's nice framed son Moonshine. http://www.whitetailexchange.net/auction/Internet-Select--Juliet-R--33-RomeoMalibuRocketHolly-Live-Bred-To-Moonshine,name,148061,auction_id,auction_details

Don't overlook the anchor doe Rocket/Holly, her 3/4 sister Shadow/Holly produced a 323" 2 yearold with a great look for Amos Kaufman this year. Her mother Roxy has no adult sons but her Roosevelt button buck this year was 3rd from last born and is easily in the top 5 body size/buttons from 20 other Roosevelt sons. This is a line that has the potential to produce those 300"+ bucks and don't forget the buck she's being bred to is a direct son of the 2nd largest whitetail buck of all time! Moonshine 183" @ 1 is no slouch, his older brother PA Eclipse was similar to his size as a yearling and chased the 300" plateau his following rack! We have very high hopes for this slick looking yearling as the best does on our farm are in his pen this year. His 6x6 main frame, 21"+ beams, 19" spread, and 10" G2s & G3s should make for a desirable cross on Romeo's large frame.

As far as the doe herself is concerned, Juliet is an absolute sweetheart, she's very tame and big bodied just like all the Holly offspring. She will eat from your hand and let you rub her back! The picture is from today. Her daughter from last year is also very big and healthy. I'm willing to work with the buyer in any reasonable way to ensure satisfaction so bid with confidence! If you don't like the potential for 30" spreads, 8x8 main frames, 30" beams and 500" scores then don't bid on her, but if you do have at it she's a big time money maker for the winner! Any questions feel free to call me.

I've got a lot of confidence in her Mike, only reason she's leaving the farm is because both her and her womb sister gave me daughters last year!
