I am looking to incorporate piebalds into some of my herd. Someone tell me about piebalds and how dominant that the resessive trait is and if it skips generations. If someone has a good piebald buck that they think is good, send me some pics. I'm open for suggestions. Thanks

Alright...... maybe I'm onto something. If nobody has any then I may be sitting on a gold mine. Nobody go out and do what I'm about to do. Don't need any competition .........

Jeremy,

Thought one of the other pied breeders would respond. I raise some out here and my pieds are like a co dominate where 50% have pieds when bred to brown deer. I worked them into my mule deer again this year. We got a pied buck fawn hybrid and two white doe hybrid fawns from my mule deer. I want to raise pied and white mule deer. I also will be collecting from a white pure mule deer this year post mortem. Should be fun next year when we have pure mule deer fawns that are white.

Jeremy,

I am no expert. But we do raise Pied and Whites in Eastern Iowa

We always breed our Pieds and Whites back to brown. We always get at least 50% color breeding that way

You call give me a call or e-mail to talk deer.

We have been raising piebalds and whites for over 10 years. We have several bucks to choose semen from. You can look at pictures and pedigrees on whitetailquest.com under Shadow Valley Whitetails. The names of the bucks are Patch, Morton, SV Zeus, and Joker.
