If I'm not mistaken, I think the does out of him produce better than what the bucks have turned out.  Russ Bellar probably has the nicest buck out of him.

W0064 was a very nice producer on a limited basis on our farm.  We bred with him 3 years but ended up with less than 10 sons out of him.  His sons were mostly typical good looking deer.  We did harvest one that was 34 1/2 inches wide with extremely good tine length and an outstanding typical look.  His sons were fairly nice as a group.  I would agree that his females were better but only because his females have been exceptional and his sons are more solid than exceptional.  We didn't have a lot of does but the ones we had were very good.  We AI'd with W0064 recently and had 2 very nice typical yearlings in 2014.  I would still consider using him or his sons if breeding for big typicals is part of your plan.

This is a two year old W0064 son we had from this past year. He is out of Big Guy and Bart on the bottom. He will not score a ton but that was the point of the cross. He should take a nice jump this year.

Thanks for the production history on 0064 Greg.  I always liked him.  I have a W0064/Rolex girl in with Tea right now.  


 


The other thing that's worth pointing out.  The Flees' are harvesting 34 1/2" bruisers with great tine length!!!!  Most other breeders would KILL for something like that as a breeder!  Just lets us all know that 1st place has been in full command by one place for over 30 years now!  The rest of us are all fighting for 2nd.  Much respect Greg... I've enjoyed working with you over the past 8 years... looking forward to that much and more in the future!

With the info I've gathered from this post and prior knowledge of 0064 doe.....I'm excited to say I have received my 0064/pa Geronimo doe!!! Can't wait to see what she throws for me!.




Now that sounds like production for years to come!  Nice doe!
