small;;font-weight:normal;;font-style:normal 24pxHere is Jumbo when he was growing out as a yearling. Check out his picture on may 23, 2012 and how much he grew after that. Looking at him on may 23 would you have guessed he would be the world record?

Henry, Thanks for posting this. Every year at this time I am disgusted with how my bucks look. Yet when late Aug comes I am pleased with most of them. It is good to get a reminder that being patient is key during antler growing season. A lesson I am trying to apply to my life in general.

I'm with you Roger. Saw a free range buck 2 days ago 16" wide and had to calm myself and remind myself my 2 yo grew well into August last year and only stopped after getting hung in the fence.

Untamed and Taz still going out. My two unleashed yearlings

Look at what I found here at Rocky Ridge Whitetails, John Ervin Stoltzfus and home of many great sires including "Jumbo". This is "Southern Kid" @ 3 and look how laid back he is, he is gonna be a wide sire for sure with lots of mass. John sure does know how to grow them big in Lancaster County Pennsylvania. He is a Southern Boy over Cardiac Kid.

Bucks are finally growing good here in Michigan. This is my new yearling Breaking Bad @ 1 picture taken 5/28/15.

I don't normally take pics this early but today while fawn checking I snapped a couple of this 2 yr old. He is not starting too bad I guess. He is an Aces Up son out of an Updraft daughter. I also have a full sister to him just a year younger who will enter the breeding program this fall21084:image.
