I just started my 9th week of feeding and my fawns are starting to wean them selves i think. they will be eager to eat then they wont finish bottles. Yesterday i cut back to 2 times aday becuase 3 was begining to be a fight. Is this ok or should i worry

Lucky you!!!! Nothing to worry about, if they are solidly eating grain and forage, they will be fine. You just might get to enjoy the rest of summer!

Should i worry about them being stunted in growth if they wean too soon? should i continue to try to get milk in them to the end of the twelve weeks?

I start cutting mine back at about 9 weeks if they are eating the big deer food all right. It is always different with different fawns but we usually always have one or two that are cutting themself back at 9 or 10 weeks of age. Ofcource you always get that one that would feed until she was 6 months old too. I just make sure they have plenty of fresh water to drink when I cut them back. They can dehydrate very easy so make sure they are already drinking water good before you cut them back. Rick
