coming from a catch pen what size of alley's going into the barn to work the deer do you recommend, I'm thinking smaller is better keep them from wanting to turnaround.

I asked the same question to a long time deer farmer when I was building my set up. He told me to go ahead and make the alley wide enough that they could turn around easily. He said you can count on the deer turning around no matter the width so I should make it wide enough to minimize risk of injury. Mine is 4 ft. wide or so and works fine.
