Antlers 2012

One of my favorite threads! Keep em coming guys, I love watching them grow. Everyone looks to be having a great year so far!

A deer of a different sort than most of you have, but still a buck. =) This is 14 days of growth on our main buck, Casper. We are very excited to see if our feeding program will produce good antler!

Fallow, please keep the antler pics coming. It will be fun to watch him grow. Allen

I know this is off the subject but I just built my new fawn barn and will be bottle feeding about 40 to 50 doe fawns this year. I have looked at several racks other breeders have and have not decided on what to use. If anyone has some good ideas and especially some pics I could look at I would greatly appreciate it. By the way everyones bucks are looking great, its exciting to see updated pics daily.

Thanks for your help,

Here is Sterling taken 2 days ago. Not the best angle so I'll try to get some better pictures in a few days.

To show how much he will grow, the lower left picture is last year on May 22 and the lower right is how he finished. I counted right at 40 points on him so far.

Check out this yearling buck, I didnt think he would do anything. he was always in trouble, he peeled all the skin off his nubs, he cut his front legs wide open, he broke his skull plate and his nub healed facing straight farward. look at the three pictures of Bob.

Cassie,Lookin good! A friend of mine says Yearlings haven't learned to "respect their racks" so most have some type of ding! Your boy is doin great inspite of his luck or lack of it! LOL

We used a straw of the Chosen One which we purchased from Sam and spilt into two does, we got 3 buck fawns this week, not bad. Sam, how did he finish last year? and how does he look so far this year?

I will take a picture of him on June 1st. I have a picture from last year on June 1st so we can blend them together and compare. :)

Cassie, he looks good, nice yearling. Sam I always like seeing your bucks, if/when I ever get around to AI'ing you would be a great souce to go to, you're animals look great, and you have something for just about anyone's style!

Here is Doublejack at 3. He just started pouring it on. :)

And Here is MOSES at 7. The old Man may grow bigger!

The first two are twin yearlings out of a duramax son. The next two are my two year olds. None of my deer are very early growers but they usually grow clear to the end of august. They all look like they are going to turn out real nice this year. The two yearlings are very nice to look at, especially knowing that we have 3 months of growth to go.
