Wooden acres said:Don't know how bad things are in MN but in northern Wi and the UP of Mi the wild deer are really hurting with the deep snow and the never ending winter. I've been donating and hauling hay up into those areas as some of my up north nieghbors are asking for help on feeding the wild deer that come to their homes and cottages . The bad thing is it's a catch 22 situation as the wolves have also moved in as the deer don't travel far from the feed . Had a few guys call with nasty reports of deer showing up at their homes badly injured by the wolves and or coyotes . I'm also thinking there may be doe's fawning in those areas with snow still on the ground in the next month if the weather dosen't change up there soon . I usually have a dozen guys at the cottage for the opening of the fishing season which is the first saturday in May here in Wi but we'll be ice fishing this year as there's well over 2 feet of snow and well as over 2 feet of ice on the lakes yet . Just a crasy spring thats for sure !! Hope everyone's bucks grow large !!
Sounds like the perfect opportunity to thin the wolf and coyote populations!
