Chad, How did Big Star turnout?  Wasn't he a hardcore son, what was his pedigree again?

Two year old. My breeder this year. I sold my main breeder buck( and almost all my other deer) and I will only have a few pet does left, I figured might as well breed them since I am feeding them anyway. This guy is lacking tine length, but at least he's over 200" so I will use him. Sorry for the low quality, its a picture of a picture

Roger, I believe he had some damage and some ailment this year I don't remember exact details.  His right side is a little weaker but his left looks similar to last year.  I'd definitely expect him to keep the clean look and long tines from what I saw.  Here is a link to Samuel King's facebook page... He has a couple pics on there.

Thanks Travis, Roger he started late on his right side due to an infection he had around his burr last winter, and he also had some foot problems this summer, but he is all healed up and ready for another year of breeding, i'm excited about next year seeing that he kept the same type of Frame without adding junk around the base i think he will be a big framed monster next year, anybody watching the Ohio sale knows that Deer need to be pretty to Fetch a premium, My goal is to have a pen full of 2 or 3 year olds that carry the same type of look that wildcore had as a yearling,  you just can't go wrong.

Samuel, thanks for the update. He was a great looking yearling! I would say the best of the year! Some will disregard a buck when he sustains an injury or illness and doesn't grow well one year. However people need to remember what made their attention be grabbed to begin with. He is a early maturing, perfect scoring, beautiful buck with it all. I would take a pen full of those every year over most of the bucks grown these days.

Take care of him!

Roger

Lake Effect looks like he is getting ready to shed. I have 2 of his line bred doe fawns for sale if anyone is interested for $200.

This boy is now 100% healthy. Being put down so many times while growing took a toll. This boy is going to surprise some guys next year. I can't wait to see what this pedigree can put on the ground. We have on the farm 3 buck fawns and 2 doe fawns. And I sold one of each. So we'll get to see what 4 of his yearlings look like

The frame on this yearling is awesome to see in my pens.

To put him in perspective I'm 6' 280lbs. And he dwarfs me in these photos

Untamed @1

Half unleashed yearlings are 180+. And the doe quality was not anywhere near the buck fawns I have out of him. Unleash the potential in your herd. I have two more straws this year for sale

Just going to throw this out there in case someone might like a breeder buck for this year. Other growers who have seen him in person say he will break 300" but I don't claim to know what he scores. My weakness has always been scoring on the hoof. If you have an interest in more info let me know via email please. I am gone working and can't always take calls. Also he is scheduled to ship as a stocker buck after I get home the 17th so if you have an interest we need to work things out quickly.

Thanks for looking!

A local farmer/ preserve owner purchased my breeder yesterday. My buck is going to breed 10 does for him, then get hunted in late season. Runnin Wild scored 250", he is 6 years old now. He was a blessing. I pray he produces for the new owner like he did for me for the last 4 years.

We cut Top Score the other day. He is out of Snake Dr. and a Energizer doe.

Thanks Roger. He is our first yearling to break the 200 inch mark. The whole family is pretty excited about this one.
