Ya know, I dont get where people think im not nervous. Im no different than anyone else except maybe i stay in tune with people in the know or the folks that are working behind the lines. I cant fathom the fact that Shawn Schafer or anyone on that NADEFA board does not have the deer business at heart.

Maybe wrong choices were made. Maybe not. There are SO many things that go on behind closed doors that alot of people are clueless about.

If you want to know Shawns thinking then do what he says. Call Him.

Im not protecting anyone and i thank anyone that goes to bat for us in any way. But the old saying is many times true. Just because you read something does not mean its true!

Mike.........why should we each ALL have to individually call Shawn to get an answer? Why can't he or some representative from NADefa explain their stance regarding the standards to everyone on here......I do not understand why that can't happen.......is there some big secret that they don't want other eyes to see? I am just trying to understand this........right now by them not explaining their position it is making it look like they have something to hide......I can't for the life of me understand why they would want these standards in place.........and all I want....(We want) is an explanation why they support this! That is it plain and simple.....and the people deserve to hear this! They shouldn't all have to individually call a person to get an answer.......it should be made public for us all to see!!

NADeFA Update - August 22nd, 2013



Your National Association Working For You

The NADeFA Board and I have maintained for the past year that we support moving forward with the working group to address our concerns with the Program Standards and to follow through with the comment period to address any additional concerns that we may identify when the Standards are released for public comment.



NADEFA will notify all members when the standards are published and will provide a link so comments can be made.



NADeFA supports the 90 day comment period.



If after all that process, we do not agree with the final product, we will move forward with options to withdraw the Standards completely.



The Board voted unanimously to contribute $25,000 to the Brakke lawyer fund to help pay for the legal battle in Iowa.



NADeFA is working with state associations in New York, Florida, Missouri and Louisiana to keep borders open.



NADeFA is working on its website or a link that could give weekly updates to its members to keep them better informed of what is going on in the industry and what NADeFA is working on.



NADeFA encourages all members to express their concerns to any of the board members or the executive director so they can be handled promptly. We have always had an open door policy and will continue to do so. Our members are very important to us and so are their concerns.
