He was one of the 3 one year old bucks I used last year to breed with - a very clean typical 10pt just past the ears with decent height. Raising these deer sure has its ups and downs and its share of intense moments. Thanks again La.
 
Mark that hole will heal shut as all the infection drains. The body starts to heal a little at a time . Had a buck get gored in the hind leg last fall and the flies got to it . After 45 mins of work getting the maggots out and cleaning it out the hole was about the size of my fist and 3" deep . I have big hands !! lol Well it took most of the winter but he healed little by little till the wound healed closed . He is fine today and growing normal .
