Big Rig semen contest!!!

Angie I enjoyed our conversation...Quit beating Mike up and breaking his bones.

From all the phone calls I received regarding the remarks being said It seems to bother so many others who read these posts with discouraging remarks more than me.... Just to clear it up "I don't care what some have to say"! I like him..I'm gonna breed him....Im dam lucky to have him.... You can like him ...not like him ....everyone has there own style including myself. We have pride ourself in Big Framed good looking deer and to me he is a BIG framed GOOD looking deer! Trim all the fat off does he still have a big frame? He comes from big frame genetics! Take a look at our other bucks this year and in the past..... I would say pretty framey!!!!!

Please don't suggest that I am not a "good steward" of the industry and a deer like Big Rig hurts our industry....its absurd and idiotic!!!

PS........My first thought was to say to all the nay sayers isssssssssss......................EAT ****! But my maturity kicked in!....LOL... my birthday is tommorrow and I am getting freaking old.

Harry,

Congratulations on Big Rig! He is one heck of a big deer. It's one thing to grow one that big and another to keep them healthy. Both are done through diligent work. Again, congratulations on the first 600" deer!

When breeding with deer like this what are we trying to creat other than problems for the idustry and for our deer. A good steward looks out for his animals best interest not his own. Maybe I am wrong but the last time I looked the anties are looking for oppertunities to shut us down and videos of deer that cant hold thier heads up dont look good. Not trying to hurt any feelings just trying to look from the outside in.

Happy birthday Harry and congrats on one huge 2 yr old--you know it just wouldnt be right if I didnt give you a hard time. Oh and by the way --I call shotgun for the front seat and hectacres get smaller at the top the farther north you go. Roger dont play head games, dont make people guess who you are bashing, if it is me come out and say it --I can take it. Darren

We having been waiting in eager anticipation—along with many other farmers around the country—to answer one final question about this buck: What does he score? This seems to always be a topic of conversation and sometimes controversy surrounding these huge bucks. Who is "official" enough to score him!?

To be honest, I really don’t care, as Big Rig is a beautiful animal and absolutely huge by any measure. However, to answer that itch within the minds of many, we tasked two gentlemen from Ohio who have scored most of the giant non-typicals the industry has produced this past weekend.....

Both are official SCI Scorers and have headed the NADEFA antler scoring competition in the past. Whom we asked to independently score him...each had assistance of another official scorer.

One came up with 638"+ and the other with 616"+…

Huge numbers that many thought were impossible to reach including myself.

We look forward to showing him off at many of the upcoming shows throughout the year, as well as at the annual NADEFA Conference in Dallas in a few months. I can’t wait to see the looks on the faces of the Master Scorer’s from SCI at the scoring table when we put the Big Rig down to be scored.

Big Rig will have some SUPER Girlfriends this breedings season.....you can guarentee that!

A big thanks to everyone for the kind comments about this great young sire. It has been a humbling experience for me to say the least.

As we continue to move forward with our industry remember to enjoy every day you have and enjoy all the gifts that have been bestowed upon us

CONGRATS guys! I look forward to using him next week and even more for the babies we get next spring.

Does this make him the official record or is the NADEFA score the official score even though you used NADEFA scorers?

Either way he is a great deer! And again CONGRATS!
