Big Rig semen contest!!!

BIG RIG :) Congrats to you - Harry and to Morgan Lindsey.

Being a taxidermist, I know how difficult it is trying to place such large antlers in the right position, they are likely VERY!!!!! HEAVY ANTLERS

Without The original skullplate it would be nearly impossible for these anlers to stay in any one position permanently.

All the taxidermist can do is the best he/she can.

They did a VERY NICE JOB by the way.

well just to let you know my post was in refrerance to another post from someone that went back after tjey felt the heat i guess and most of us know who this is a ra#dy. i never went on the mount, this guy that started this post did. now he runs, I just stated that all farmed deer should be scored by the place that helps us the most, nadefa. i think all farm deer should be scored by a panal if they are ever to be claimed by anyone that its the biggest, largest in the world, what have you.then all would be put through the same deal, whats so hard, I think they are huge, not my favorite looking but huge, I dont like the golden ***** either but thats my choice. matt

Man.....600 inches......I don,t know if even Donald ***** would have enough money to shoot him......he may have to trade in his private helicopter and a few other toys to be able to afford him. Congrats to all on a awesome buck! he certainly is a monster!

There is one thing everyone knows in this business is your reputation means everything. Yes Roger is known for ranting a little. BUT when he does he is telling the truth. That's because he is so passionate about this biz. Just like me. I like it when someone tells the truth and like it is. Would you rather be lied too?? And for Harry and the rednecks here in Alabama ( me included) not one of us did anything wrong or tried to manipulate anything! Period..... I don't care what others think. I think Roger said it best. Jealousy!! Why smash a big deer? The mount was off, so what. Not trying to hide it. Just alot of people wanted to see him, so a pic was posted. I don't think Harry has a reputation of trying to fool people or lie to them. He is honest and a great person to deal with .. And if you don't like it, keep your damn mouth shut!!! Nobody cares what you have to say

Matt, don't put the blame for what you posted on someone else.......simply admit your where wrong and move on......we have all posted things on here in the past that we wish we had not. so you are by no means the first to do so.

Matt, I do agree that it would be good to have a Nadefa scorer put his stamp of measurements on deer...I'm not talking about Big Rig, but there have been lots of deer advertised that I thought were 50" or less than the advertised score; however, I'm usually 30-50" short (at least) when we all play those fun "guess his score for a straw" games, making your point even further.

Why doesnt the real problem get fixed. The real problem is that NADEFA isnt until Mid March. 90% of the biggest bucks in the world already have their antlers cut off. Why dont we have somewhere people can get their antlers scored by a SCI Panel in October? People are forced to get a score to advertise through breeding season that is unofficial. Then they go to NADEFA and possibly get a different score, higher or lower. If there was a Fall event, it would help a lot of people get a score 5-6 months earlier. SCI does NOT have a drying period. You can score em the day you cut them off.

Just a thought. Congratulations on Big Rig. He is an awesome Deer.

Mark Mast if you are reading this, you have the perfect opportunity to get a panel of SCI scorers at your October sale. It would increase attendance and do a great service to the deer industry.

Todd

I agree Todd there needs to be an earlier event were these hard to score tumor heads can be scored. Raising the largest tumor head ever does deserve bragging rights and before one advertises he should have it scored by the same panel so he can truly say my buck is the biggest and this is what he scores. On this note I would like to say congrats to all the owners of these tumor heads and just remember the public see these deer that can hardly hold thier heads up also with a whole different attitude.

Great idea and hope mark can make this work out..No scores untill they hit the table and every deer hits the same table with set group of scorers. Then there will be no adding inches width or broken points. They are what they are when they hit the table and why add more inches when most that get put on the table are already big enough!!

My first thoughts was to keep my dog out of this fight but cant stand it any longer and I have to say it---VIRGIL YOU MUST HAVE A TUMOR FOR A BRAIN!

So many jealous people in this industry! I believe Roger said it correctly previously.

Wish I had a couple of those "Tumor Heads"! I am jealous!

Great deer and congrats.

Thanks for the complement I must if I am the only one who can see the view that the public has about these tumor heads that lots of farmers are now breeding for. It is one thing when one pops up by accident but when we start breeding for deer that can not even hold thier heads up we are asking for trouble. I use the name tumor head cause someone else on here used that name and I found it very fitting. I am not one bit jealous myself I think they are ugly (except X factor)and I try to breed for more typical deer that look like deer. You can call me names say what you want but trust me it will not be long and the activist will be useing this against us. We need to be good stewards and look out for are animals welfare and not just the welfare of are pocket books.

One more thing mister pure deer we are all entitled to are own opinions and I truly do condradgulate the owners of these tumor heads for growing these huge deer and accomplishing thier goals.

I dont believe harry or gary and jane bred for these deer. I would say there are things being done to deer during growth and after growth that are a little crazy but to each there own.and no im not pointing any fingers as these rumors have been going on forever.I will say if this deer is indeed proven to either be what it is or what its not it will be bad publicity.Outdoor life ate up a deer that said world record or biggest ever and like it or not if big rig passes balistic someone will use that as ammo against us. They will do this reguardless of what we do. To some it may be a jealous thing.Others might not like the look. I say to each their own and as the sayin goes a picture's worth a thousand word's. To be able to grow that amount of bone in 3 months is amazing if anything!!

Sooner or later someone is going to get tired of accusations designed to tarnish a persons reputation, farm reputation and livelihood, and there will be a lawsuit filed.

Just sayin.....

I think someone could have started that a few weeks ago when outdoor life was all over ballistic for being such and such and grown on steroids. If anyone or the anti's does not agree with what we do they will take every oppertunity to do what they can to give us a blackeye.Be it the look of the deer or the fence or the way we treat them and so on.Problem is they are free to speak as anyone is and there is not much that can be done!!

No kidding Richard!

And I think some are too dense to know when it is them that are being talked about.

This winter I need to take a ride down to AL and visit some folks. I will have to come see ya while I am there.

Why is it everyone seems to want to come on the forums and stir up a fight.......yeah times are tough and no one likes it. Now is the time we need to band together not rip on each other!! give it a break guys!

I think it would be a great idea to have SCI master measurers at out October auction. It will not work to have them here this year on such short notice as SCI has a very busy schedule but I will try my best to get them to come out next year. I am open to ideas on how to make it work. If anyone has an idea send me an email.

Why is everyone so sue happy and violent. Can't we all just be friends with are own opinions and ideas.

Hey Roger, do you still have that picture with your head in your crack. That was just to funny this subject brings back those old memories.

Every Deer Farmer should be proud of what they have raised for deer. By no means has anyone on this thread ripped any one farmer apart for doing so. To be able to produce something that big is amazing. However, I need to point out a few things.....

First of all, as a citzen of the United States, I have earned the privilege of "Freedom of Speech". I believe that everyone on this thread has done so as well.

Second of all, this is a public forum which is designed for deer farmers to speak their minds, voice their opinions, ask questions and be there for moral support when someone needs it.

Third of all, I invite any one of you that has an issue with something that is posted by me, to call me personally at 315-778-1412. I would be more than happy to discuss the issue with you. But beware, you might not like what I have to say...

I wish you all a good night.
