I am looking into buying some bred does NEXT season and I have 2 questions. The selling farm would be anywhere from 2 to 4 hours away(same state) from my farm and I was wondering what is the most common way this is done. The seller delivers The deer to my farm as part of the "deal" or am I expected to go to his farm to pick them up.It would seem to be safer for the seller to deliver his healthy deer or should I be expected to pay a higher price for this? Also is it safer to transport bred does EARLY or LATER in their gestation? What is your experience been?

I would say in my past experiences that you would go pick them up unless you arrange it in the price to have them delivered to your farm. About moving them, I would say move them earlier then later, I have moved them a week after they where AI and had good luck.
