Okay Listen, everyone in Missouri...Please "GET INVOLVED" there are a handful of us fighting for your rights...STOP reading all these posts DAY after DAY and "GET INVOLVED". This is a fight that has been brought to us and brought to YOU!! If you CAN afford to purchase a $1,000,000 Insurance Bond for your captive herd, If you CAN afford to put a "DOUBLE 10' FENCE around your herd, If you CAN afford for the borders of this fine State of Missouri to be CLOSED then just keep sitting there. "IF YOU CAN'T" Then "GET INVOLVED"...

You NEED Us just as much as WE NEED YOU!!! Time For you to HELP OUT....
Perhaps you have forgotten, a year or so ago there was a Moratorium put on "New Deer Breeders and Hunting Ranch Permits" from the MDC... Well with our help "THAT GOT CHANGED" and now the MDC is coming at us again, There are roughly 300 Breeders and Ranchers in Missouri, Why is there only a dozen of us Fighting for you?

If your not from Missouri I'm sure you know of someone here in this awesome state that does what we do. Call them,Text them or e-mail them and tell them to "GET INVOLVED IN THEIR FIGHT!!

Take into consideration that presently this is a fight on our doorstep, However, it's only a matter of time before it's on yours...If you want to know how to get involved then P.M. me and I will put you in contact with where you need to be...Thank you troy:mad:

Looks like Steve Jones has been busy pushing some serious mistruths. Since he writes for Outdoor Guide magazine, seems he has the vehicle to get to the masses. As Missouri looks to go to extremes, Iowa now says there is no longer a public threat. Wind Cave is turning CWD positives animals loose. One thing for sure, none of these states are learning from the others' mistakes.

You'll be amazed how some of the information is spun by Steve Jones.

This Steve Jones is a real piece of work! From the limited amount of info that I read, apparently his entire plan to help "control" the spread of CWD is completely focused on captive herds! That's quite an agenda he has against us!

As you can see he is an *****. He is good at spreading slanderous misinformation about deer breeders.

Can someone bring a lawsuit against him personally? I'm tired of this crap where you can just say anything and get away with it. Opra opened her mouth and she had to pay to the beef industry

Jerry, you hit the nail on the head.....until this industry shows it is sick and tired of being the scape goat and decides to fight.......this abuse will continue......I don't understand why we as an industry are letting it continue!

Left message with Mindy Patterson about a PR person she might recommend. I am sure we are going to get another blast of info real soon here in Iowa. It's high time we start holding these people accountable for their lies and mistruths.

Sue him for slander/libel. His comments are hurting/damaging an industry. He can't find science to support what he says !!! Jerry is right, Oprah had to back stroke when the cattlemen went after her.

Y'all are absolutely right, something needs to be done with this guy and others like him. However, there are people here in Missouri that are in our industry that don't even know what is happening. If y'all know someone here in Missouri, PLEASE pick up the phone and give em a call or a text or even shoot em an e-mail and tell them to jump in and help out. There is much information on Our Missouri Whitetails Facebook page also......thanks troy:cool:

#1)We here in Missouri and everywhere for that matter need to organize.

#2)There are public meetings starting on the 3rd of September, they are being held all over the state with 7 more to follow after the 3rd. We need a presence at these meetings.

#3) We need each Deer Breeder and Hunting Ranch to contact their feed supplier, Their Veterinarian, their farmer where they may get Hay, corn or grain for their feed and whoever else they do business with and tell them what the MDC is trying to do. As Deer Breeders and Ranchers we need to inform those that we spend our money with that their income from us may come to an end if we are regulated out of business.

#4) We need a presence at the Legislative meetings, there are 2 left, one on the 10th of September in Jefferson City. And the last meeting n Poplar Bluff, our legislators need to see that there is a Deer farmer or Farmers in their district.

#5} If their not a member of MWBHRA then they need to join and organize with us their Ideas of how we can fight what is before us. Get on our Facebook page Our Missouri Whitetails and help get the truth out, just as we do here, there is no faster way then the internet to reach large masses of people...

#6) Last but not least each Deer Breeder or Rancher needs to contact their Legislator for their District, tell them who they are and that they have a Deer Farmer in their district...

This would all help, I feel more then anything we need to get Organized, everyone needs to get involved. If we don't? Then we will probably deserve whatever we get. On paper this is already a David vs. Goliath scenario, however, without organization and involvement from everyone David is a 95 lb. weakling........thank troy;)

Go to "Our Missouri Whitetail" Facebook page and invite all your friends to like it and see what is really going on in our industry. I invited all of our friends this morning and within an hour had almost ten like it already and sure there will be more to come. I am going to send everyone that liked the page to invite their friends to take a look. If everyone did this the page would grow very rapidly. Like Troy said, the internet is a powerful tool lets use it.

Thanks for the help....We need you and everyone you know. Also it's part of our goal on that page to promote our Healthy Huge Whitetail Deer, Send me a P.M. on the Facebook Page so I can get some pics up there of yours and everyone's Deer....troy

If anyone doesn't know what they can do, try inviting your local representative to go with you to whatever meeting you are attending. I invited mine to ride with me, albeit on short notice. I also gave him the rest of the meeting times and locations in case he chooses to attend one of those.

Here is the link for your Legislator in your area. Click on the link and move your cursor down to House members. A box will pop up that says legislator look-up click on it and enter your five digit zip code and hit enter. Your Legislator will come up click on his name and an e-mail address will be there on his page. Please send a message to him and let him know your concerns about what is going on in our industry. http://www.house.mo.gov/content.aspx?info=/maps/maps.htm Also copy and paste the meeting times and ask if they could attend one of the meetings if they have time.

Also see the message above and invite all your friends to like"Our Missouri Whitetails" and find out what is really going on. Just since this morning when I sent an invite to all our friends the likes went from 369 to 422 in just a few hours. I'm not saying they all came from my invites but the majority did. Its time for all of us to do something to help out even if its small in nature. If we all try and do a little something it will make a big difference. I have had my head in the sand like a lot of people and thought it would just work its self out in the end, but its not if we don't try and do something. I also want to personally thank everyone who has taken there time and money to help this industry if it weren't for you we would be done already.
